Giving my home a Makeover!

It's that time of year when we start to think about spring cleaning and freshening up our living space. This year I want a more radical change, as we've not decorated in a few years and our dining room is looking especially tired. However my decorating plans are going to be on a tight budget, and I will be trying to be as thrifty as I can, while still getting results which make me happy! I've decided on a colour scheme which I hope will improve the room by making it appear brighter, and I'm keeping the wall colours simple and I'm opting for a warm cream colour. I'm then going to use colour in the rooms accessories to really create a warm friendly dining environment. I have always liked the idea of blinds in the dining room as they allow more light into the room when they're not being used, and they look great when they're down! Having had a good look at their site, I think I've decided on roller blinds for the dining room windows as they're cheap and I've found a design which I really like! I'm opting for a warming orange colour, with a pattern to liven the room up! I can even get an idea of what the blind will look like by 'designing' my own room, this allows me to change the colours of the walls and furniture to get an idea of what colours will work with my new blind!

I can even request a free sample of my chosen fabric, which means I'll be able to check the colour and pattern are really what I want before I order! All blinds are made to measure, so cost depends on the size you require, but there is a simple calculator which works out the prices for you after you input the measurements and they are great value!

 So now I just need to get measuring, and spring into action revitalising my home by giving it a bit of a makeover!
